The essential point: the tools on this site work entirely in your
browser. The thesis, chapter or file you upload is not transmitted to ProRédaction: it is read
and analysed on your own device, then forgotten as soon as you close the tab. The only data
that leaves your browser is described in section 4.
1. Who is responsible
The site ai.proredaction.com is published by EDULAB LIMITED, a company incorporated in
Hong Kong, with its establishment at No. 5, 17/F, Strand 50, 50 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan,
Hong Kong, which also operates the service proredaction.com.

2. What we do not do
- We do not keep the theses, chapters, files or documents you analyse: they never leave your browser.
- We do not create an account and never ask for a password to use the tools.
- We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
- We use no advertising cookie, and no analytics tool is active on this site.
- We make no automated decision producing legal effects: the results are indicative and
replace neither an examiner, nor a supervisor, nor an awarding body.
3. What is processed, and why
- The text or file you upload (PDF, DOCX, ODT, TXT) — to produce the analysis you asked
for. Held only in your browser's memory, for the length of the session.
- Your answers to the questionnaires — to compute the result and let you pick your work
up later. Stored in your browser's local storage, on your device.
- Your e-mail, if you choose to enter it — to send you the full report and, at your
request, to be contacted by an expert. Currently saved in your browser only (see section 5).
- Technical connection data: IP address, browser, date and time, page requested — to
serve the pages and keep the site secure and available. Held in our server and delivery
provider logs.
Legal bases: your consent for analysing a text you upload and for passing on your contact
details; our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for technical connection data.
4. Third-party services actually called
To check references or display pages correctly, your browser contacts the following services
directly. Those services therefore receive your IP address.
- Crossref (api.crossref.org) — checking that DOIs and reference entries really exist.
We send the reference or the DOI to be checked, never your whole document. Tools concerned:
citation checker, proofreading tool, bibliography generator.
- OpenAlex (api.openalex.org) and HAL (api.archives-ouvertes.fr) — searching for
references from your topic. Tool concerned: bibliography generator.
No other third-party service is called: PDF and DOCX reading is done with components hosted on
our own server, not on an external delivery network. The typefaces are served from our own server as well: the site no longer calls Google Fonts.
5. Your contact details, plainly
As things stand today: server-side collection of contact details is not
open yet. When you leave an e-mail in a tool, it is for now saved in your browser alone and passed
to nobody, so no automatic report and no call back will come from that form. To reach our experts
for real, write to
info@proredaction.com or use the
order page. This page will be updated the day collection is switched on.
6. Retention
- Texts and files analysed: not retained by us at all. They disappear from your browser's
memory when you close the tab.
- Entries saved locally (drafts, answers, maps): they stay on your device until you erase
them. You remove them by clearing site data in your browser, see section 8.
- Technical server logs: kept for a maximum of 12 months, then deleted.
7. Hosting and transfers
- The server delivering this site is hosted in France (Hostinger).
- Delivery goes through Cloudflare, which processes technical connection data for
security and performance.
- The services listed in section 4 may process your IP address outside the European Union,
notably Crossref and OpenAlex.
8. Cookies and local storage
- No advertising or analytics cookie.
- A strictly technical cookie named
ai_access may be set to open access to this
space while it is protected. It contains no personal data.
- Local storage keeps your drafts under keys starting with
pr_ (for example
pr_carte_v1, pr_plan_v1). To erase everything: in your browser
settings, under privacy, delete site data for ai.proredaction.com. Private browsing keeps no
trace after you close it.
9. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right of access, rectification,
erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at
any time.
For data that stays in your browser you exercise those rights directly: you change or delete it
yourself, without asking us. For anything else, write to
info@proredaction.com. We reply within one month.
If you live in the European Union and believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a
complaint with your national data protection authority. In France that is the CNIL
(www.cnil.fr).
10. Main service and changes
Orders for writing, correction or coaching placed on
proredaction.com fall under the privacy policy and terms of
that service. This page covers only the tools published on ai.proredaction.com.
We may update this policy, in particular when new features change the processing described here.
